"The Gala stone in Piscene gave me an interesting challenge because there was a beautiful green patch on the stone. I loved the green and didn't want to cut it away. Hence, fish forms emerged in the piece which made the green not seem foreign to the form. Normally, I don't know what will emerge until I get into the piece and the images change as I work the piece and turn it to different angles."
