Italian Hand-Cut Stone/Wood Carving Rasp - 8" - No. Z1020

Hand-made by the finest craftsmen in Olgiate Molgora, Italy, the Z1020 medium coarse rasp is made from Italian C100 carbon steel and tempered for use on stone and wood. It can also be used on plaster.

A unique feature of this rasp is that the teeth are only punched into the edges of the exclusive design, not the sides. This exclusive design allows the carver to rasp within tight spaces such as crevices where they do not want to rasp the entire surface. Each end can easily cut fine lines and detail into the piece. Its rounded spoon end can be used for circular carving work; its spear-shaped end is perfect for v-shaped areas. Both ends are slightly curved.
