Italian Hand-Cut Stone/Wood Carving Rasp - 8" - No. B520

Hand-made by the finest craftsmen in Olgiate Molgora, Italy, the B520 medium coarse rasp is made from Italian C100 carbon steel and tempered for use on stone and wood. It can also be used on plaster.

The uniqueness of this rasp is the introduction of square teeth for the quick reduction of stone and wood.This innovation was developed and produced by the principals of B&B Artigiana (Bassoli and Barrie).

A unique feature of this rasp is that the teeth are punched not only on both sides of the tool but also into the edges of the exclusive design. Its rounded end can be used for circular carving work; its spear-shaped end is perfect for crevices and v-shaped areas. This combination of tool ends can easily be used to remove unwanted stone and wood from the carving as well as finishing the piece.
