Italian Hand-Cut Stone/Wood Carving Rasp - 8" - No. A520

Hand-made by the finest craftsmen in Olgiate Molgora, Italy, the A520 medium coarse rasp is made from Italian C100 carbon steel and tempered for use on stone and wood. It can also be used on plaster.

A unique feature of this rasp is that the teeth are punched not only on both sides of the tool but also into the edges of the exclusive design. Its half-rounded end can be used for circular carving work; its spear-shaped end is perfect for crevices and v-shaped areas. Both ends are slightly curved like a bent finger. This combination of tool ends can easily be used to remove unwanted stone and wood from the carving as well as finishing the piece.
