Stone Carving Sand Bag

When carving pieces of stone, one thing you'll want to have is a stone carving sand bag. Sand bags are used to hold the stone you are working on in place, and to absorb percussive vibrations that could otherwise cause breaks in your piece.

One side of the heavy duty, double stitched canvas sand bag is left open, much like a pillow case, to be filled with the desired amount of sand. Once sand has been added, seal the bag with the Velcro closure to prevent spillage.
