The sculptor uses this mid-sized double wire end modeling tool when needing to remove calculated amounts of clay or other modeling material from pieces generally over 18", like a head and bust, and shaping the clay.
Our No. 222 tool, like many of its related wire end tools, has two distinct serrated sharpened wire ends making it suitable for modeling not only in Plastilina, but also in self-hardening clay, wax, and plaster.
One wire end is shaped in the basic bullnose, a standard shape in sculpting for shaping and digging. Its inverse end is an oval loop used for making folds and crevasses in draping and hollowing cheeks.
Approximate length: 9".
