Italian Hand-Cut Stone/Wood Carving Rasp - 12"- No. A1430

A true work of art, our Italian steel A1430 12" rasp is crafted for aggressively reducing stone or wood.The coarse teeth on its cylindrical (round)-shaped end and its deep-sweep paddle end (known as a half wave curve) allow for quick work. Also well-suited to the finishing process after basic carving has been completed on larger pieces.

The deep sweep of the paddle ideally suited for rasping around concave and convex areas. The cylindrical end is used for reaming (creating and enlarging holes) as well as concave/convex rasping.

Teeth have been expertly punched on all sides of the rasp and along its edges providing complete tool usability.

Approximate length of the rasp - 12" (30 cm); each rasp end approximately 2 3/4" - 3" in length.
